Royal city, of Cochin ( Tripunithura )the erstwhile capital of Cochin Dynasty holds magnificence of size and beauty. The palatial buildings of the Cochin Royalty is preserved there. These buildings are marvels of architecture and authority. Abundant use of teak wood on the buildings easily protected itself from the ravines of time. Though these are private residences and out of bound for visitors a tour along the bye lanes are sure to take us to a bygone era. The old city has its public buildings as well, like the schools, colleges, music / dance theaters, public library etc. , Fruits, vegetables and flower market as in the old times are still preserved by the local community. One can still buy quality silk, cotton, artifacts at local rates. Shopping in the area is sure to give you a chance to know the life of people.
The Royal city visit can also be included the visit of the Modern Place of the Cochin Dynasty. A heritage museum in the premises of the palace is sure to attract your entire satisfaction. |

12. 15 P. M. Arrive St. George Orthodox Syrian Church and visit the church

14. 00 P. M. Arrive local vegetarian restaurant for a traditional lunch of Kerala.
15. 00 P. M Depart Hotel and and proceed for an orientation drive to Fort Cochin. See there the Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church to see the first tomb of Vasco De Gama. Or instead orientation drive to Jewish Town to see the Jewish Synagogue and the oldest Jewish settlement in India. Later depart for hotel where the guests are picked up.
