For walkers and hikers in good physical condition, this hike will take you through virgin rain forests, high in the clouds. Your guide will share stories about Boquete village and the mountains surrounding Volcan Baru, as well as pointing out interesting foilage and wildlife. Quetzal birds have a body that is between 14 and 16 inches long, with the males' especially long tails increasing their overall length to 24 to 30 inches. This colorful bird must be seen in its natural habitat, as it rarely survives in captivity. Private transportation is provided from Boquete to Cerro Punta.
Bring your camera, water and snacks and wear hiking shoes suitable for mud and rocks. If it's raining you may encounter flash rivers that have to be crossed using rope. Parts of the trail are very steep with slippery steps and severe drop offs -- perfect for the adventure hiker. The views along the way are breathtaking, including beautiful scenery with lush vegetation, towering trees, misty hills, and intermittent streams. |

| Meet up location: Meet up location: You will be picked up at your hotel reception area in Boquete. Once you book your tour you will receive your guide's telephone number. Included in your tour is transportation to and from your Boquete hotel. If you don't know your Boquete hotel at the time of booking, please contact us with this information before your arrival in Panama. If you require transportation to Boquete from David, please purchase our shuttle service. |
