This is a comprehensive tour through all accessible parts of the Prague castle, which is not only one of the largest castle complexes in the world but definitively the oldest continuous seat of power.
Here ruled the first Bohemian princes, Bohemian Kings, Holy Roman Emperors, and presidents still do have office. As a result some representative quarters are closed for the general public. However, historical parts are open.
There are two circuits in the castle, a short used by agencies and a long one requiring far more expertise and to which you are invited to explore on this tour.
You will see the result of over thousand years of building endeavour, various architectonic styles, historical links, as well as changing of the Castle Guards, art works in Castle gallery, dungeons, palaces, historical offices, exhibits of lives of working people, alchemists workshops, and much more. |
