Try "Pearl Harbor, " "Midway, " and "Tora!Tora!Tora!" Travel from your cruise ship or hotel to Pearl Harbor Museum and Memorial for an unforgettable experience. Learn about the attack on December 7, 1941, which President Franklin Roosevelt called "a date which will live in infamy. " A documentary film and several exhibits, along with optional tours of the USS Bowfin Submarine and museum, provide a glimpse of pre-war Honolulu and a moving testimonial to the ingenuity and bravery of our armed forces.
Your Honolulu tour itinerary
- During the 20-minute drive to Pearl Harbor, I answer any questions you have about the history of the islands and talk about points of interest along the way. - Upon arrival at the Visitors Center, you may carry in a bottle of water, phone and/or camera, hat, stroller. All bags and purses must be left in the vehicle or checked at Bag Check. - I direct you to various exhibits about the lead-up to war with Japan and the attack itself. - Before boarding a boat out to the USS Arizona Memorial you'll watch a 25-minute film. - I will give you tips on where to sit on the boat for quick exit and how to optimize your experience on the Memorial. You may also wish to explore the USS Bowfin submarine located at the Visitors Center (admission extra). Return to cruise ship, airport or hotel.
