There are however restrictions about guiding inside of historical sites. In these cases a licensed guide is required.
The United Kingdom has a very well developed standard for professional guides, called 'Blue Badge' guides. People holding this standard have a high level of training, have passed exams and are periodically re-certified as guides. report error
