Ammiel has lived in New York City since 1960. He attended The High School of Music and Art and has performed as an actor and musician at Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall.
He has guided study missions in Paris, London and Jerusalem and is a Certified Tour Guide for the city of New York through the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Where some tours limit New York to a litany of trivial facts, Ammi Simon's creative approach connects the visitor's experience to the very life of the city. One leaves Ammi's tours not only with a feeling of awe at the city's greatness, but also with an understanding of what it means to be a part of the "Big Apple."
