| Tour Guide Legal Requirements |
There is no requirement for a guide to have a license to give tours.
However, if the tour guide is also the driver, then they are required to hold a Passenger Service License and have a Private Hire Registration.
The driver must hold a Passenger Endorsement and must also complete a log book, and must record all work time. Drivers must not exceed the allowable work time.
The vehicle must hold a Certificate of fitness (CoF)
Some rental vehicles are not suitable as Passenger Service vehicles due to the narrow aisle space, seating arrangements and lack of cargo barriers. Most rental company contracts forbid the vehicle being used in a passenger service. report error
