There is much more to it:
In 1810 Crown Prince Ludwig (later King Ludwig I) married Princess Therese, the celebration of this wedding was the beginning of the Oktoberfest. You'll learn about how it changed and why it developed into one of the largest folk festivals over the last 200 years. You will hear about the construction of the beer tents, about the beer steins, about historical and modern carousels, about the Bavaria Statue and the Hall of Fame and a lot of other curiosities and behind-the-scene-information.
At the end of the tour you'll be given a traditional ginger-bread-heart either to eat right away or to take it home as a souvenir.
This tour is conducted with the Tour guide System (wireless hi-tec headsets so everyone can hear every word I say no matter how noisy the environment). Should you be in Munich on the first Sunday of the Oktoberfest I can show you some spots to watch the Costume and Rifle men's Procession !
