If you admire Michelangelo's virtuoso talent and fancy something completely different try my itinerary starting from the Academy Gallery:synonymous with Michelangelo's David, but not only. Built in the 18th century as a teaching environment for the academy of Fine Arts, thanks to the acquisition of David and later of the Prisoners and St. Matthew it became known as Michelangelo's museum. The tour continues through the historical streets of Florence towards the famous Medici Chapels: the mausoleum of the Medici dynasty. The extraordinary Sacristy of Michelangelo contains the tombs of Giuliano Duke of Nemours and Lorenzo Duke of Urbino with their statues of Day and Night, Twilight and Down as well as the magnificent Madonna and Child.
The itinerary starts from the Academy Gallery where we'll visit the "most beutiful guy in Florence" the famous Michelangelo's David an icon of italian Renaissance and then we'll reach the famous Medici Chapels: a pleasant introduction to Michelangelo's art and life in his city!!
