Do you have a few hours between flights with nothing but the airport lounge to fill them? Instead of sitting there, let me show you a little of the City of Gold.
I will customise a tour for you to fit the time available and your interests. Want some exercise? A drive to the National Botanical Gardens will show you a cross section of the city, and a hike to the top of the waterfall will reward you with views of the city, the natural vegetation and possibly a glimpse of our city-nesting Verraux's Eagles!
A trip to the Top of the Carlton, the tallest building in town, will allow a wonderful overview of the city in a short time. A drive to the site of the first gold strike passes through old suburbs giving a glimpse of areas of early development and how people live.
Depending on time available, trips further afield, such as the Cradle of Humankind, or the Rhino and Lion Park can be arranged. Johannesburg has unique museums and an intriguing history - all waiting for you! |

The base price includes a selection of:

A small extra fee will include Soweto with calls at

- Mandela House
- Regina Mundi Church
Many other places are seen in passing when travelling from one venue to another, and I ensure that we take routes to give as wide a view of the city as possible in the time available, and discuss the history fully.
Depending on the day and time available, you can visit
- Origins Centre
- Apartheid Museum
- Hector Pietersen Museum
- Gold Reef City
- Cradle of Humankind including Sterkfontein Caves
- Walter Sisulu National Botanical gardens amongst others.

500 South African Rand - THIS IS CONDITIONAL: If changes are made to the proposed itinerary that require additional travelling and entry fees, these will need to be paid for. The amount required WILL VARY depending on the length of time and the venue chosen.
Any purchases of a personal nature, such as curios or refreshments outside of what is provided, will be to your own account. |

The listed price includes a half-day tour (5hrs), a trip to the Top of the Carlton, all transport, drinks and snacks in the vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE: Longer tours, trips to museums requiring an entry fee, or trips further afield where distance travelled is increased, will be quoted for individually. |

Additional travelling to more distant venues such as the Rhino and Lion Park or the Botanical Gardens.
Guide fee for more than a 3-4hr trip.
