Prague was once home to the largest population of Ashkenazi Jews anywhere in the world and, although nowadays the population is very small, the Jewish Community left its mark on the city. In this tour, I'll take you to five well-preserved synagogues, including the oldest anywhere north of the Alps; the Spanish Synagogue with its beautiful geometric decorations; and a moving tribute to Czechoslovakia's lost Jewish population in the Pinkas Synagogue. You'll also visit the Old Jewish Cemetery, where the graves lie on top of one another up to five layers deep; and where you'll find the resting place of Rabbi Loew, renowned in legend as the creator of the Golem.

End location: Prague's Old Town Square, or anywhere else in and around the Jewish Quarter you'd prefer.
480 czk - Entrance tickets to the Jewish Museum cost 480 czk each. If you wanted to, we can miss out the Old/New Synagogue, in which case tickets are just 300 czk.
