Start the day with a breathtaking view of Jerusalem from the top of the Mount of Olives. Walk down to the Kidron Valley following the same way Jesus walked towards the city in the "Palm Sunday". On the way, visit the "Dominus Flevit" Church where Jesus wept over Jerusalem , "The Garden of Gethsemane" and the "Church of Grief" (also called the "Church of all nations"). Continue to the "Church of Mary's Tomb" in the Kidron Ravine. Enter the city at the "Lion's Gate" and walk along the stations of the cross "The Via Dolorosa", to visit the "Church of the Holy Sepulchre" and "Golgotha". Walk through the unique Middle Eastern colorful market to the Jewish Quarter. Continue through "The Roman Cardo" the city main street in the Roman and Bysantine period. Arrive to Mount Zion for a visit in "The Last Supper Room" and next by "King's David Tomb".
Cross the "Jewish Quarter" to the "Western Wall" the holiest place for Jews in the world. We will learn how it was built and why it became holy for the Jews. |
