A tour dedicated to those whom their determination, courage and struggle, enabled, to establish the Jewish state.
Start at the "Independence Hall" where Israel's first Prime Minister Mr. David Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the state of Israel. Head to "Ayalon Institute", where a clandestine underground factory produced bullets while risking life for the newly born Israeli Army. Head to Latrun where, the Jordanian took over the British police building who ruled the only road to Jerusalem. The Israelis failed in all attempts to conquer it. On to "Bab El Wad"( The valley gate) a ravine where the only road to Jerusalem climbed. Jerusalem with it's 100, 000 Jewish inhabitants (out of 650, 000 in all Israel) was under a siege and dependent on supply convoys from Tel Aviv. We will remember those who fought to keep "The Convey Route" to Jerusalem opened and learn how they did it. We will finalize the day in the Military Cemetery in Kiryat Anavim where those who fall during those battles were buried. |

Suggested Itinerary:
Meet at 8. 30 AM in your Tel Aviv Area hotel.
If you come from Jerusalem, we will meet at 9. 00 at a meeting point in Tel Aviv.
9. 00-10. 00 Independence Hall
10. 00-10. 45 To Rehovot
10. 45-11. 45 Ayalon Institute
11. 45-12. 30 to Latrun
12. 30-13. 00 Latrun
13. 00- 14. 00 Lunch
14. 00-15. 00 To and in "Bab El Wad"
15. 00-16. 30 To and in Kibbutz Kiryat Anavim.

Meet up location: I will meet you at your hotel in the Tel Aviv area and start from there . If you stay in Jerusalem area( or at any other place) we will meet in an agreed meeting point in the Tel Aviv area a bit later and start from there.
The tour will end up in Kiryat Anavim 15 minutes drive from Jerusalem and 45 minutes from Tel Aviv. |

I will return with those returning to Tel Aviv to their hotel. Those who came from Jerusalem ( or other) will return to their hotel independently. |
