Some Inka Temples that are located near by the Cusco City, Capital of the Inka Civilization, where the most amazing arquitecture knowledge was applied to built Saqsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Pukapukara, Tambomach'ay and Qorikancha. |

1. Saqsayhuaman. Built by Pachacuteq Inca, the governor who consolidated the Inca Empire, it shows amazing walls with limestone work. Here is celebrated the Inti Raymi Festivity or Sun festival every June 24th 2. Q'enqo. Temple for the mother earth that has mummifications, altars, sundials, and snakes carved on the outcrop stones. 3. PukaPukara. It means red fortress that was used to control one of the Inca trails that leads to Machupicchu to the region of Antisuyo; one of the areas that Hiram Bingham was exploring while he was looking for the Lost City of the Inkas. 4. Tambomachay. Shrine to worship the water with great niches used by the guards when the Inca were celebrating. 5. Qoricancha. Heart of the Inca Civilization, the most important group of temples that with its golden enclosure. Nowadays this temple occupies part of the Dominican's monastery that after the earthquake of 1950 we can finally visit.
