I've been a professional accredited driver/guide since 1988 and still love my job!
I also run a bicycle tour business with my partner. When I am not working as a tourist guide I give lectures to students at the Iceland School of Tourism, Univeristy of Iceland, Holar University, edit the Iceland Tourist Guide Association's Newsletter and contribute travel-related articles to web-based publications.

1. General guide (one year full-time)
2. Adventure & incentive guide (6 mth.full-time)
3. Hiking guide (six months full-time).
The Environment Agency of Iceland - National Park Ranger professional qualification (three months full-time study).
Seven university degrees.
Professional driver's licence (required). |
