Vancouverites have been doing the Grouse Grind since the trail was completed in 1983. Today, over 100,000 people climb the Grind each year.
Even so, if you tell a Vancouver resident that you've just done the Grouse Grind, you'll get a look that says you've done something that's beyond the average person. Or if they're fellow Grinders, you'll be part of an elite company.
Hike the Grouse Grind (if some members of your party can't make the climb, they could take the Tram to the top at an extra cost)
Relax at the top - have a beverage and see some of the various attractions. How much time is available depends on driving time to the Mountain and how long you take to do the hike.
Take the Grouse Mountain Skyride down to the bottom (12 minute ride, but there is the possibility of a wait depending upon the time of day and if the weather is fine).
Return to your hotel.

If any members of your party want to take the Skyride instead of climbing, this is possible as well. I can buy up to 3 tickets at 1/2 price (so 1/2 of $37 for an adult, less for seniors and children).

Transportation and the Grouse Mountain Skyride from the top down to the base of the mountain. Bottled water and energy bars for the climb.

You'll want a few dollars to buy a beverage at the top.
