Hello and welcome! Hola y bienvenido! My name is Lucy, I'm English and I've been in the beautiful city of Granada now for 3 years. In 2005 I had the opportunity to take a sabbatical from work and so I set off round the world for a year of adventure and discovery. From teaching English in Costa Rica and China, to motor-biking solo around New Zealand, France and Spain, to riding on the Trans Siberian Railway across Mongolia, Siberia and Russia, there was no stopping me - I was bitten by the travel bug!
However, out of all the amazing places I visited, Granada in southern Spain had woven the strongest spell. When I returned to England energised and invigorated, returning to my desk job in London was definitely not top of my list! Inspired by my own experiences of tours and trips abroad and coupled with my passion for this corner of Spain, I decided to offer, through my company Go Granada, quality, tailor-made experiences to discerning travellers - like you! On top of this, Granada was firmly put on the map in 2010 with the visit by Michelle Obama and her daughter, and in 2011 by the British Prime Minister, David Cameron and his wife when they came to celebrate her 40th birthday. So you are in good company!!
Let me tell you a little more about Granada: it is a city of intimacy, surprises, culture and contrasts. Set between two rivers and framed by the glorious backdrop of the sparkling Sierra Nevada mountains, it is a city that seduces the senses. Sunny, flower-filled plazas lined with palm trees and tapas bars contrast with exotic Moroccan teashops straight from the Arabian nights. The old seamlessly blends with the new.
For me, the most important thing is to enable you to maximise your precious free time and have the best experience possible and this is done by providing you with good old fashioned customer service and enthusiasm and passion for what I do. Everyone is individual and experiences are easily tailored to meet your needs. Listening to you is what we do.
Whether it's an orientation walk around the city, sampling the local cuisine through a tapas tour, painting your own holiday memory, visiting the famous gypsy caves and watching a flamenco performance, discovering the past of Federico Garcia Lorca or a visit to the hidden gardens in Granada, these and many more wonderful experiences await you!
