This is a full day tour taking in many of the sights and attractions of the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Our route follows the Cape Peninsula coastline with its breathtaking mountain and ocean views. Along the way we travel through scenic and quaint coastal towns. The tour's focus is a visit to Cape Point (part of the Table Mountain National Park)and Cape of Good Hope (Africa's most south-westerly point). Here we drive through the Fynbos (part of the Cape Floral Kingdom) to the tip of the peninsula and its dramatic natural, cliff-side setting, lighthouse and tourist facilities. Other highlights include vists to the African Penquin Colony at Boulders Beach, Ostrich Farm and a boat trip to Duiker (Seal Island) from Hout Bay harbour. Our journey includes the famous Chapman's Peak drive, Noordhoek Beach and the coastal road along the trendy 'Atlantic Riviera' with great views of the Twelve Apostles mountain formations. | You will be collected from your hotel at 8h30 and taken via the False Bay coastline, through the scenic and quaint towns of Kalk Bay and Simon's Town to the African Penguin Colony visitor centre - where we will see these cute, sociable creatures up close. From there we will continue on to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. There you will have the option of taking the funicular rail, called The Flying Dutchman, (cost excluded) to the lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula or take the staired trail. Once there you will enjoy breath-taking sea and mountain views. Our luncheon venue looks out on False Bay. We then briefly visit an Ostrich Farm and you will have an opportunity to purchase Ostrich products, and closeby, African crafts at roadside stalls. Our return trip will be via the western coastline over the famous Chapman's Peak drive, to Hout Bay. From Hout Bay harbour you will take a boat trip to see the Cape Fur Seal Colony at Duiker Island. From Hout Bay its a short hop back to Cape Town via Camps Bay. |

Transportation Method: I use a new Hyundai Starex mini-bus (7 passenger seater) with leather interior and air-conditioning. I have a Public Drivers Permit and the vehicle has an Operator's Card (registered for use as 'passenger transportation for reward') and has Passenger Liability Insurance.
For larger groups I rent vehicles and drivers from reliable service providers. |
