Mökki - a cottage is important to many Finns. In the allotment garden village the urban Finns have a possibility to enjoy the cottage life without leaving the city. The allotment garden village is filled with tiny cottages or some villages have only plots for vegetables and root crops or flowerbeds.
To find a clover with four leaves is a lucky sign.
I will guide you to one of the allotment gardens. Just join me and enjoy the atmosphere!

| I will meet you at Helsinki city centre /or harbour or wherever is convenient for you. We will take a tram or bus, which is a good place to have a look at surroundings and locals in their everyday tasks. In the allotment garden, we will walk around. The cottages are private but if we are lucky we may have a word with a local green thumb working in the garden or even luckier, somebody may invite us to see the cottage. |
