The tour promotes the visitation of a Giant Piece of Art imbedded in the Heart of a Favela, where 24 hills are represented in a 320m² model!
The story begins in 1997 when one among many "Favela" boys decided that drugs and weapons would not be for him. A Favela model started to take form in an abandoned area inside his Community and LEGO dolls, part of the art, were used to overcome the generally violent children's attitude.
Recognized by the Ministry of Culture as an OFFICIAL CULTURAL SITE, the Project integrated the 2007 Venice Biennale being then diffused all over the world.
A local resident will accompany the group while exploring the narrow alleys, admiring sumptuous views and being toasted with smiles. |
