A full day tour to the mountains of Parnassus with the picturesque village of Arahova (3000 ft elev) and the ancient site of the Delphi oracle. The village of Delphi offers a spectacular view of the Itea olive tree forest and the sea!!Driving by the cotton fields of Thebes we reach the mountain top village of Arachova. We see the hundred year old houses built of stone with narrow sidestreets. Shortly we arrive to Delphi the ancient navel of the world. We visit the site of the oracle the spring of kastalia the round monument of Athena Proneias. The museum houses unique exhibits such as the chariotter, the naxian sphinx the statue of Antinoos among others. The village of Delphi is an ideal place for lunch over looking the valley of olive trees of Itea. On our way back we visit the monastery of St. Luke built 1100AD on a mountain top with a unique panoramic view!
