This overnight tour will first take you to Levadia where the oracle Trophonious performed. Have a snack of fresh yogurt with honey and homemade cheese pies in Zemeno. See the village of Arahova before visiting the archaeological site and museum of Delphi. End your first day in Kalambaka - the city at the base of mysterious Meteora.
Your second day begins by visiting some of Meteora's magnificent, ageless monasteries that are perched on top of huge, monolithic granite rocks. The view from there is something that you will never forget.
On the way back to Athens, see the giant statue of Leonidas, in Thermopiles, made famous in the movie "300". For 3 days the Persians battled against the vastly outnumbered Greeks. Although it was clear that the Persians were going to win, Leonidas stayed and fought the final battle with only 300 men from Sparta.
Arrive in Athens in the late afternoon/evening.
