Ghats of River Ganges had always been frequently and keenly visited destinations -not only for Hindus but all -at Haridwar
.
Delhi / Rishikesh (via Haridwar )- 238 kms - can be covered by car / train
Overnight trip to the Holy place at the Ghats of River GANGES is enchanting and gives a lot of peace to soul. If desire can halt at Haridwar to witness AARTI (a ritual at sunset )
and visit Rishikesh next day morning , brfore leaving for next destination.
During summers extension to Prayagraj, Yumnotari n Gangotri (originating points of River Yamuna n Ganga respectively), Kedarnath, Badrinath etc. can also be added not only a pilgrimage and also a treat to eyes and mind. |

Day 01 . . 0645hrs-I will meet you at the Delhi/NCR hotel, with
chauffer driven vehicle
0700 hrs- we leave for Haridwar at the foothills of
Himalayas-enroute we stop to freshen up and take our journey along the Ganga Cannal. Afternoon-arrival check in to hotel of your choice-lunch and visit Kankhal-where we have a Shivalingam of Mercury and Rudraksha trees in an ashram, Gurukul Kangri-one of the oldest Universities of India of vedic studies, Mahadev Temple and Sati Kund. We return to Haridwar to attend the evening Aarti of Ganga at Har Ki Pauri followed by a walk through the local market. Dinner and overnight.
Please carry a pair of socks-for entering temples ashrams we have to take off shoes.
Day 02 - After an early breakfast at 0800 am we proceed to Maya Devi Temple by cable car-view of Ganga is breath taking from the top. We proceed to Rishikesh to Lakshman Jhoola-man made bridge, Gita Ashram. Lunch at Chotiwala amd we proceed for Delhi.

Meals served on train. .... Cost on request !
Return journey also possible by lator train departing at 0040 hrs , so that one can witness the world famous AARTI of river Ganges , followed by stirkingly delicious vegtarian meal.
