The old city of Copenhagen is both well-preserved and lively. We love our city and mainly go by foot in the historic downtown area to experience the best of it. This tour takes you from the Royal Residence to the Round Tower by way of piers, parks, squares and cobblestone streets. We take cabs and ferry-bus for some stretches, to make sure you see the city's most important sights.

On the walk you pass:
Langelinie area, Mermaid Statue*, Citadel fortress, Gefion Fountain, Opera House, Amalienborg Royal Residence, Palace District, Nyhavn Canal, King's New Square, Strøget Shopping Street, Saint Nicolai Church, Old Strand, Christiansborg, Palace, Parlament, Old Stock Exchange.
There is time for refreshment, shopping, or an inside visit (for example, to the Christiansborg or Jewish Museum).
With the addition of extra time, you can see Round Tower, Latin Quarter, Cathedral and Town Hall, ending right by the Tivoli Gardens.
Alternatively visit the treasure house of the Kings in 17th century Rosenborg Castle.
Or finish off with a harbor and canal cruise.
Lunch is always an option. |
