I would like to show you something of Christchurch the Garden City combining both the city's main attractions as well as our prize winning gardens. I have been guiding visitors around Christchurch since 1993 and feel confident I can assure you of an interesting and memorable day.
My recommendation would be to drive up the Summit Road to see the spectacular view over both the harbour and the city across to the Southern Alps. Visit the Sign of Takahe, Mona Vale Gardens with the crystal clear waters of the Avon River running through it, Canterbury Museum, Arts Centre and Cathedral. Option to enjoy a homemade lunch in and from my organic garden. As well if you wish I can guide you to several prize winning gardens. Return to the port via Sumner, one of our most attractive coastal suburbs and enjoy the volcanic geography and stunning homes.

Our day and the time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests.
I suggest the following 'must see' things to do:
Summit Road Drive to view Harbour, City and Southern Alps across the Canterbury Plains.
Sign of Takahe.
Mona Vale Gardens.
Arts Centre including Museum, Botanical Gardens, Craft Shops.
City Centre including The Cathedral.
1 Prize Winning Garden. Entry $10
Coastal Suburb of Sumner for short hike and spectacular views.
Option to enjoy Lunch in my Organic Garden $30 NZ/ person.
1 hour free time for Punting on Avon River, Tram Ride or shopping.
However delighted to tailor my tours to the interests of my guests. |
