This tour takes you up into the mountains south of Chiang Mai to experience life with the Karen hilltribe people. You will ride elephants, trek through beautiful jungle, bathe in waterfalls, stay overnight in a village with stunning views and then a jungle camp by a waterfall, experience lush nature, and end the tour floating down the river on a bamboo raft! |

Day One: Pick up from your hotel at 9am. Stop at local market to pick up supplies. Drive to Elephant Camp for one hour elephant riding. 15 minute trek to waterfall for lunch stop then 2. 5 hour trek to Karen Village for dinner and overnight stay. Karen kids will sing and dance for you around the campfire!
Day Two: Breakfast at the village then 2 hour walk to another Karen village for lunch. After lunch a further two hour walk through stunning scenery to the overnight camp. Dinner at the camp then entertainment around the campfire.
Day Three: Breakfast at camp then two hour walk through beautiful jungle to the meeting point for pick up and transfer to rafting camp. Lunch nearby camp, then 1 hour of relaxing rafting downriver. Transfer by truck back to the city arriving at your hotel around 5. 30pm
Please note that the itinerary may be subject to change due to unpredictable weather conditions during rainy season - June - September. |
