This tour takes you up into remote areas of the mountains north of Chiang Mai that are relatively untouched by tourists. You will have the opportunity to experience life with various hilltribe people including Karen, Lahu and Shan people. Your adventure will take in unrivalled views, waterfalls, hot springs, elephant riding and a stunning journey down river by bamboo raft on the last day.
Day One: Pick up from your hotel at 9.00 a.m. Stop at local market to pick up supplies. Drive to Mok Fa waterfall for an hour's break. Then on to hot spring followed by lunch. After lunch stop, a two hour trek to Karen Village for dinner and overnight stay.
Day Two: Breakfast at the village then two hour walk through stunning scenery to another Karen village for a rest stop. After this another one hour trek brings you to the elephant camp. Lunch at the camp followed by a ninety minute elephant trek to a Lahu village for dinner and overnight stay. If there's time you can go for a swim in the river before dinner (water level/currents permitting).
Day Three: Breakfast at village then lazily floating down the Mae Taeng River on a bamboo raft for two and a half hours to a Shan village for lunch stop. Transfer by truck back to the city -with optional stop at butterfly and orchid farm - arriving back at your hotel around 5.30 p.m .

Meet up location: Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai.
End location: Tour ends back at your hotel in Chiang Mai or any other location within city limits e.g. airport, bus/train station.

What's Included:
The tour cost includes the guide and driver. All meals are included from lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day. Activities - elephant riding and bamboo rafting. Also includes optional pre-trek meeting at your hotel for Q&A with guide the evening before the tour.
