Hi, I'm Pat! I'm a fun loving friendly tour guide who was born in Chiang Mai but has lived all over Northern Thailand. I love sharing the beauty of my homeland and showing people what the true Northern Thailand is about. I started off as a tuk tuk driver but now I have been a guide for more than 8 yrs and have a TAT license.
I've been guiding and living in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son so am an expert in these places. I know lots of hidden spots that only locals could know of - from great places to eat to places with the best viewpoints. I know the non-tourist and the more touristy spots.
My passions are using tourism to help local communities and hill tribe villages so that we only leave a positive impact, and helping constructive cultural exchange between travellers and locals. I'm proud to show how our life is simple but rich in many ways that have been lost in the west.
Some call me a 'crazy guy' but see that I have a big heart and only want to do good for the people. I also have a style that is very different from a normal sightseeing guide. I'm here to help you get to the heart of the area and its people, giving you information and taking you to places that you can't find from a book or internet. From the problems that hill tribes face to the impact of development on our country. My conversations can be philosophical but I will always give you a laugh at the end.
I am lots of fun and like to play the guitar and cook for my visitors.
