Our route heads north up the Cape's West Coast - renowned for its stark beauty, seafood and hospitality. We will travel through the West Coast National Park and see unique forna and flora as well as fantastic views of the sea and Langebaan lagoon. After lunch at a rustic restaurant on the lagoon beach you will have two options for the afternoon activity. We can either visit Khwa ttu - a San people cultural experience or the West Coast Fossil Park. On our return trip to Cape Town we will stop to take in the spectacular and iconic view of Table Mountain from Bloubergstrand. |

From Cape Town our route heads north up the Cape's West Coast. We will will travel through the West Coast National Park and experience fantastic views of the sea and Langebaan lagoon - carpets of beautiful wild flowers can be seen in season (August/September). Lunch will be at a restaurant right on the lagoon edge, with seafood and traditional dishes being the speciality. After lunch you have the option of visiting;
1) Khwa ttu - a San people cultural experience. This will include: A tractor ride, an easy walk on the trail, a visit to a replica traditional San village, an introduction on the San languages, a refreshing drink at the boma and an exhibition at the photo gallery. or,
2) The West Coast Fossil Park. See the exhibits and learn about the areas archeological history. We also visit the dig site with a local guide to see and learn about the find of densely packed fossils that are 5 million years old.
We then head back down the coast with the majestic Table Mountain in our sights. (R60. 00 per person) |

Meet up location: You will be collected and returned to your place of accommodation - hotel, guesthouse, cruise ship etc. Please note a R100 (USD15) charge will apply if your accommodation venue is further than 20km from Cape Town CBD.

Transportation Method: I use a new Hyundai Starex mini-bus (7 passenger seater) with leather interior and air-conditioning. I have a Public Drivers Permit and the vehicle has an Operator's Card (registered for use as 'passenger transportation for reward') and has Passenger Liability Insurance.
For larger groups I rent vehicles and drivers from reliable service providers. |
