This is a walking tour of the historic city center of Brussels. We'll start in the Grand'Place, considered the most beautiful square in Europe, with its stunning medieval City Hall and ornate guildhalls. We'll visit the famous Mannekin Pis, the little statue of a boy peeing that's the symbol of Brussels.
We'll also wander the winding cobblestone streets, taking in some of the other sights in the area, like the Cathedral of St. Gudele and the elegant shopping arcade, Galeries St-Hubert. Depending on your interest, we can also hit the Comic Strip Museum, housed in a historic Art Nouveau department store.
There will be opportunities to sample local specialties like fresh waffles, handmade chocolates and Belgian fries, and we'll end the tour in a local café where you can try some of the local brews for which Belgium is rightly famous. |

| The tour starts in the Grand Place and covers all the major sights in the historic city center. Highlights include the Mannekin Pis, Hotel de Ville, Galeries St-Hubert, Cathedral of St Michael and St Gudele, Place du Grand Sablon, Rue des Bouchers, Museum of Musical Instruments, and La Bourse (stock exchange). Local culinary specialties can be sampled along the way: Belgian waffles, fries with mayonnaise, chocolate and beer. We can stop at a café for a break during the tour if desired. |
