The Sherry Triangle |
A walking Tour of Jerez de la Frontera, including a visit and tasting in an exclusive Bodega |
Jerez de la Frontera, together with Sanlucar de Barrameda and Trebujena makes up the so-called "Sherry Triangle" and thus the Sherry Capital of the world. It is said that in this triangle many a wine connoisseur has disappeared in one or another of the imposing Bodegas, never to be seen again ………
Great and interesting places to visit and of course to try the delicious local Finos, Olorosos, Amontillados or the sweeter Pedro Jiminez wines. In this tour you will visit one of the smaller and more exclusive Bodegas where you get to sample their fine products together with some of the worlds best ham, cheeses and olives. Of course you also have the opportunity to purchase their products directly on the premesis. This Tour also includes a walk through the stunning old center of Jerez and a visit of the Alcazar, the old but very well preserved Moorish fortress. |

| Depending on our meeting point I will pick you up in the adequate, to group size vehicle, we will then park in the center of Jerez and enjoy a leisurely walk through the center and a visit to the Alcazar and its gardens, after our walk we will drive to the Bodega where you will enjoy a tasting of delicious local Finos (Sherry's) and other special wines from the area, accompanied by some regional snacks like the, in my opinion, world's best ham "Pata Negra", fantastic cheeses and olives . . . . . . I will then return you to our meeting point or any other reasonable drop of location you wish. |
