Khong Bangkok Yai or Bangkok Yai Canal , also called Khlong Bang Luang, which was actually part of Chao Phraya River until a canal dug in 1522 during Ayutthaya period altered the flow of the river such that the canal became the main river and the section of original river become Khlong Bangkok Yai of today. Bangkok Yai, or more precisely Wat Arun sub-district, was also the site of Thon Buri when the capital (Thon Buri, that time) was set up here during 1767 till 1782. |

*** Get in the private local Longtail Boat from Chaophraya River to "the big canal" or Khlong Bangkok Yai. Feeling fresh and relax along the way. Then turn to Wat Kallaya, the Thai famous local temple. Practice the way of paying a respect to the God Buddha image and get details of local Thai traditional way of life including brief history.

If coming with big luggages (one piece per person), the last seating row will be used to store each big luggage in case of the store place of the back is not enough
available space. Should there be any wheelchair, it will be allowed only one to protect enough space to keep the total.
