We visit a coop which grows organic shade-coffee.
Atitlan coffee region is one of the best in Guatemala because of its altitude and volcanic soil. In this wonderful experience you'll get to see lush coffee plantation, its varieties and ways of farming.
It starts from the nursery, farm, mill process, and eventually you will enjoy your favorite cup of coffee. Along your tour you'll be enjoying glimpses of native birds, as well as you'll get to know big avocado trees, and banana plants which provide shade to the coffee. |

It starts from your hotel on Lake Atitlan.
If you are not staying in San Juan La Laguna we take a public boat.
First we visit the coffee coop and start with the tour among lush coffee plantation.
Then we continue to see the steps of the coffee processing mill and eventually we will enjoy a cup of coffee at their cafeteria.
We may have time to explore more San Juan La Laguna, visiting its weaving coops and art galleries, if it's desired. |
