Visit one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia in the heart of Julian Alps and Triglav National park where two glacier lakes are set. Bled and Bohinj lakes are extremely popular among Slovenians. Is this because of many legends, among which the most famous about Črtomir and Bogomila, was written by our greatest poet France Prešeren or is it only because of natural beauties that surrounds this area. The best idea is to find it out on your own! |

The trip will start at agreed location from where we drive towards Bled lake. In Bled we board a boat that will take us to the island. where the church of st. Mary, originally from 8-9c. , is set. On the island we will be able to ring the bell of wishes and discover legends told about the island and the suroundings. Afterwards we will drive around the lake towards castle from where we have glorious view of the lake with small island in the middle. On the castle we have also a museum that shows history of Bled and a replica of Guttebbergs printig press. We must not miss the wine cellar on the castle as well.
In the afternoon we will drive towards another gorgeous lake - Bohinj. First we will stop on the lakeside next to the church of st. John the Baptist from where we have a wonderful view to the lake and surroundings. After this we will drive to the cable car and we will take lift to the mount Vogel (1535m) from where we see almost all Julian Alps and of course - Bohinj lake from above. Return |
