Alexandria is most beautiful city in Egypt , It's a Bride of Egypt .There are many historical places such as The Catacombs (meaning underground tunnels) lie in the district of Karmouz to the east of Alexandria. The area was called Kom El-Shouqafa or a pile of shards. The cemetery dates back to the 1st century A.D and was used until the 4the century A.D. We can visit The Roman Theater ,the substantial arches and walls in stone, the brick of the Roman baths, and the remains of Roman houses. There is a hill littered with the remains of ancient walls in the southwest of the city, near the large Arab cemetery. Alexandria's largest ancient monument, Pompey's Pillar, stands there. It is rising from the ruins of the ancient .We can see The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast.
