Al Tahrir (Liberation) Square or Midan al Tahrir in Arabic, was the focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution and has been the traditional site for numerous major protests and demonstrations over the years, including the 1977 Egyptian Bread Riots, and the March 2003 protest against the War in Iraq. The square was originally called Midan Ismaileyya (English: Ismailia Square), after the 19th-century ruler Khedive Ismail, who commissioned the new downtown district's 'Paris on the Nile' design. After the Egyptian Revolution of 1919 the square became widely known as Tahrir (Liberation) Square, but the square was not officially renamed until the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, which changed Egypt from a constitutional monarchy into a republic.
We will start our tour visiting the square where history continues to be made, then we will visit The Egyptian museum famous for its antiquities dating back some 50 centuries from Egypt's Pharaonic period, then it's on to our gorgeous pyramids. |

| We will start from your hotel and drive down town to visit Al Tahrir Square then we will be transferred to the Egyptian Museum which holds the most ancient human artifacts in the world. You will have a guided tour inside to watch the golden treasure of Tut-Ankh-Amun & a great gallery of statues & portraits…. etc then our lunch then we will visit the legendary majestic Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerionos to view these spectacular man-made monuments. Afterwards a tour of the great Sphinx; guarding the Royal Burial Chambers and temple of Cheops. |
