This trip takes you up to the infamous Golden Triangle area, where three countries' borders meet - Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
On the way you will visit an elephant camp, Chiang Dao Cave, and a Long-Neck Karen village. Overnight at hotel on the banks of the mighty Mekong River.
Day two includes a boat trip to the border market in Laos, beautiful temples, and lunch in Chiang Rai, before heading back to Chiang Mai. |

Day One
- Pick up from hotel at 8am
- Drive to Maesa Elephant Camp for show.
- Stop for lunch by the river at Thaton and walk up to see the Big Buddha statue at Wat Thaton.
- Visit Long-Neck Karen village.
- Drive to Mae Sai border market for coffee break.
- Drive to Golden Triangle.
- Overnight stay and dinner by Mekong River.
Day Two
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Visit Opium Museum.
- Drive to Golden Triangle
- Boat trip to border market in Laos.
- Lunch in Chiang Rai.
- Visit Wat Rongkhun (White temple).
- Visit Phrasert Hot Spring if time permits.
- Arrive back at Chiang Mai hotel at 7pm. |
